Info in English
The Dutch Society of Oral Implantology (NVOI) is a scientific association of dental care providers devoting itself to the promotion and dissemination of the knowledge of oral implantation and to make this knowledge available to practising dentists and for reasons of public health and education.
The Consilium Implantologicum has been instituted by the General Meeting of The Dutch Society of Oral Implantology (NVOI) on 15 December 2000. The Consilium Implantologicum is entrusted with the task of making provisions concerning the qualification of NVOI members, i.e. dentists and specialists in oral diseases, dental and maxillofacial surgeons, and NVOI recognized Implantologists (Implantologist NVOI). The Consilium Implantologicum operates under the responsibility of the Board of the Association.
The tasks to be carried out by Consilium Implantologicum are laid down in the Regulations of the Consilium Implantologicum and consist among other things of:
• The testing and judging of members who expressed the wish to be recognized as a qualified NVOI implantologist.
• The testing and judging of the NVOI implantalogists who wish their qualification NVOI Implantologist to be extended.
When the testing and judging includes a visit to the (candidate) Implantologist’s practice this is called a visitation. The official registration is performed by the Board of the NVOI.
